What is Roller Compacted Concrete?
Well just as the name indicates roller compacted concrete uses modified asphalt rollers to consolidate a concrete mixture; similar to that of regular concrete into a durable surface.
How is different?
Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) contains a very similar mixture of concrete water and other aggregates to that of regular concrete. The difference is that RCC is much drier and has practically zero “slump” (Slump is simply a term coined to describe how consistent a concrete sample is.) making it much more consentient. When done it looks and feels more like damp gravel than wet concrete.
